About us

Recycle for London is a communications programme delivered in partnership by The Greater London Authority and WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme).

Recycle for London is funded by the London Waste & Recycling Board.

Our objectives are to

1. Reduce waste (with an emphasis on food)

2. Increase the amount London residents recycle year on year (with an emphasis on flats)

3. Provide communications to support new recycling services (including on-street recycling banks or ‘on-the-go’ facilities, business waste, food waste collections, and reuse services)

4. Reduce the volume of specific material to landfill/incinerators such as textiles, batteries, electrical goods, and furniture/other reusable products, to generate maximum social and economic value.

Borough service support

London councils can apply for operational support and communications advice and funding for rubbish collection, recycling and waste prevention matters that focus on achieving:

1. Recycling or composting tonnages through the diversion of residential (municipal) waste CO2

2.  Savings made by diverting residential (municipal) waste to recycling or composting
